Happy Mother’s Day!

I can not believe that three and a half years ago at just 21 I became a mom to my Dekker Drew. The over whelming moment of joy that came over me the first time I held him and than got to experience it again with Kanon. God is so good you guys!!

I always thought I would have babies young, maybe not as young as I was, but definitely always imagined having them in my twenties. Here I am 24 and have two of the most handsome little boys. When I had Dekker I really had no idea what I was doing. I had zero friends with babies, so I just did what I felt was best. Obviously everyone knows parenting can be so challenging, but that love definitely outweighs the hard ships. I kind of figured things out as I went, and it all worked out. I love that about being a mom, because every kid is SO different so you are constantly learning how they work and what works best for each kid.

Motherhood is a process for sure. You are never going to stop learning and discovering new things through this journey. I have learned so much in these past three years, but with my boys they are constantly reminding me never to take life too seriously, and have definitely made me a more patient person. It really is crazy how much a tiny human can teach you. Don’t sweat the smalls stuff.. If I got angry every time my boys were being wild or naughty well that would be all day haha. Being patient is so important with little ones, and they have truly taught me to take things slow and enjoy the moments. Besides all the snuggles and love this mama gets my favorite thing is when they achieve new milestones or goals. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the excitement on their faces when they do something new.

To all you mamas out there that rock it, which is everyone of you, Happy Mother’s Day!We are all truly amazing.
