Try on haul at Nordstrom Anniversary sale!

Nordstrom Anniversary dressing room diaries are here!! There was A LOT of stuff already gone in store, so I was not able to try everything that I wanted to on. I would say it was a success for sure though. I am pretty sure they will be restocking online for some items that are out of stock in certain sizes, so I will be on the look out for you!!

Xxo

Loved this dress for fall. Would be so cute with Over the knee boots, but you could also get some use out of it this summer. Size down.

So obsessed with this jacket from madewell. It’s cropped, so super cute with a dress or high waisted denim.

Such a great basic long sleeve at an awesome price!

LOVE the lace tank with the leather combo.

My absolute favorite item I’ve purchased so far is this jacket, and if you love leggings you need these.

My favorite cardigan at the sale! Waiting patiently for it to be restocked.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

Who is going to be shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary SALE this year!? If you have been following for some time you know I love Nordstrom, but I also love deals!

What is the Nordstrom Anniversary sale?

Every year during the summer this sale is held to show off their fall items. All on sale, but then once the sale is over all of these items will go to regular price. It is the perfect time to get some pricier items that you have been wanting. I bought a pair of frye boots two years ago, and several jeans in the past. They always have awesome sweaters, shoes, and fun beauty products on sale.

How to shop the sale?

The sale goes live on July 12th until July 19th to card holders. I would highly recommend getting a card if you are not a cardholder already. There is a credit card, but also a debit card that the money comes directly from that. I use the debit and love it. You still in rewards with the debit, and spending a certain amount you get a note of $20-40.

If you do not have a card, the sale goes public on July 20th until August 5th.

This sale can be shopped from the comfort of your home. I am a big online shopper, so this is the best sale to shop from your home. Nordstrom is the best about returns so you never have to worry about that, and free shipping!!

What I will be covering?

Because this is my favorite sale I am going to be covering a lot of the sale. I will do a post dedicated to my favorites for myself, kids, and for the hubby! I also will be going into store and sharing any items I pick up during the sale in store. If there is anything else you want covered comment below.

4th of July for the family!

Summer is officially here, and there is nothing I love more than kicking it off with celebrating 4th of July. Since I was younger we always spent every year, Fourth of July week, on Catalina Island. Over the past couple years we haven’t gone, but I still love this holiday so much. My favorite part is just bbqing, spending time with family, and of course the fireworks! Also, I have always been a fan of going all out in the bathing suit and outfit department. Here are some favorites I have found while searching for our outfits! I want to hear your Fourth of July plans!! ❤️

We are moving!!

It’s moving day! Literally watching my kids play in boxes and run a muck around our new place as we speak. I’ve put everything away that came with me today in my load, so I’m not being lazy I promise 😜 Also, these boys are having the time of their lives right now.. why is moving so fun for littles but is a pain for us adults.

If you have been following me for a while you know that we travel with my husband for his work while he goes through an apprenticeship all while living in a renovated fifth wheel trailer. A little wild I know! I normally update my blog readers about when we move and where we are going, but this time it’s a little different. We not only are moving towns, but we ditched the trailer. I CAN NOT BELIEVE WE ACTUALLY DID THIS. It has been almost three full years since living full time in our fifth wheel. ( we may be back in it but for now we are out)

If you are wondering how I did it, well I am still wondering the same thing, but it’s so we can all be together while my husband works hard for our family to get his dream job. He has about 8 months(give or take) until we officially will no longer be traveling, so technically we are still traveling right now. I keep reminding myself it will all be worth it in the end.

So for the past month my husband(Cody) has been working away from where we were living. He was only able to come home and have Sundays with us because he was working so much. I was exhausted. Cody was exhausted. The kids missed there dad, and I missed dad too of course. We were spending an outrageous amount of money on hotels.. like ridiculous amount. We could not find a spot for our trailer in the area, so it was just kind of how we had to do things. At one point we decided to look at places to rent, so I booked a few showings on some short term apartments, and on that day decided I just couldn’t pull the trigger. Cody was up for anything, but really had not much time to make decisions… and I do not like making decisions. I was SO nervous. We can be moved at any time to any place in CA or NV. Two days after looking I called Cody and said, “ go put the deposit down it’s still available, let’s do this!” We need a space near him together or else everyone was going to go crazy. The risk of moving was far worst than the quality time we would be missing out on. The same day he put the deposit down, went and saw it himself, and started driving to where we had our trailer parked two hours from where he was. I started loading everything up in our trailer, called my in laws who came to help us, and about in four hours we were on the road to go store our trailer at my in laws. Now here we are moving in!

The boys have no idea what to do with so much space.. it’s the little things for sure. We are so grateful, and excited even if this adventure is temporary. We could be here for 3 months, and we could be here until we are done traveling. And if you are wondering where we are by now, we are living in the San Jose area. If you know of anything that we should do while we are living here comment below!

Nordstrom half yearly sale favorites

Nothing makes me happier than shopping a sale.. especially at Nordstrom. I have rounded up some basics from the sale that I got today and also just some favorites I have been eyeing.  The two basic tees are such an awesome price you can not pass them up. Both the bathing suits I own and LOVE. I bought the lace one after I had Kanon, It was my first ever one piece and I won’t go back haha. This suit makes every body style look great. The gingham suit I bought before I went to San Diego. I love this one because its cute and I can run around at the pool with my kids in tow. Almost every piece I added comes in multiple colors, so go check out the options. I hope everyone has a wonder Memorial Weekend! Xo

Day in the Life

I thought it would be so fun to share a typical Day in the life with you guys. It is always fun to see what other mamas do to grind through their days. I am very much a creature of habit and love a schedule so my days seem very similar.

-7:15 am- Kids wake up, and this is when I wake up as well. I wish I could wake up before them but I am not a morning person, so I don’t think that will ever happen.

-8:00 am- I make the boys breakfast (eggs are a favorite around here) I let them watch show while they eat and I will normally scroll through my phone (let’s be honest) Kanon is not a Tv person so after they eat they will just play with toys. I also like to do the dishes at this point from the night before.. I never do dishes at night unless my husband is gone because we don’t get a lot of time with him so I try to not clean while he is home.

-8:30 am- We get ready!!

-9:30 to 10:00 am- I always like to get out of the house at this point.. This is when we normally run errands, go to the grocery store, etc. I switch this part up a lot because sometimes we go to the park, the pool, target, walks, and just play outside.

-12:00 pm- LUNCH, lately we have been having lunch outside which has been so nice!

-12:30 pm- Naps! both my boys nap at this time which makes It really nice for me to get things done around the house.

-12:45 pm- I work out right when the boys go in their beds so I don’t wake them up in the middle of their nap… trailers shake okay haha. After working out I will clean the house up, and normally work on my blog or anything else that needs to be done.

-3:30 pm- Boys are up and we go straight outside with a snack. This is normally the point when I am exhausted so being outside is really nice for us. Dekker can ride his bike, and play with the neighborhood kids.

-6:00 pm- start heading inside to make dinner

-7:00 pm- baths and get the boys ready for bed

-7:30 pm- Bed time for both the boys. Occasionally I will have Dekker stay up for a little longer to spend time with Cody and I.

Happy Mother’s Day!

I can not believe that three and a half years ago at just 21 I became a mom to my Dekker Drew. The over whelming moment of joy that came over me the first time I held him and than got to experience it again with Kanon. God is so good you guys!!

I always thought I would have babies young, maybe not as young as I was, but definitely always imagined having them in my twenties. Here I am 24 and have two of the most handsome little boys. When I had Dekker I really had no idea what I was doing. I had zero friends with babies, so I just did what I felt was best. Obviously everyone knows parenting can be so challenging, but that love definitely outweighs the hard ships. I kind of figured things out as I went, and it all worked out. I love that about being a mom, because every kid is SO different so you are constantly learning how they work and what works best for each kid.

Motherhood is a process for sure. You are never going to stop learning and discovering new things through this journey. I have learned so much in these past three years, but with my boys they are constantly reminding me never to take life too seriously, and have definitely made me a more patient person. It really is crazy how much a tiny human can teach you. Don’t sweat the smalls stuff.. If I got angry every time my boys were being wild or naughty well that would be all day haha. Being patient is so important with little ones, and they have truly taught me to take things slow and enjoy the moments. Besides all the snuggles and love this mama gets my favorite thing is when they achieve new milestones or goals. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the excitement on their faces when they do something new.

To all you mamas out there that rock it, which is everyone of you, Happy Mother’s Day!We are all truly amazing.
