YAY!!! BOY! We’re SO excited to announce we will be having another handsome little boy!! I am officially way out numbered in this household haha. But I love being a boy mom, so I CAN NOT WAIT. I am going to have my hands full thats for sure , but I am so glad Dekker will have a brother so close in age ,so bring it. My sister and I were three years apart growing up, and it was so fun! Dekker and his brother will be two years and three months apart…. going to be the best thing ever!! Although when I ask Dekker if he wants a brother he shakes his head and says “No!”, I know he will be so happy when his brother can play with him. Be prepared for several pictures of matching little brothers!

New trailer | New town

We have officially and successfully remodeled our fifth wheel trailer. I have promised that I would share these exciting pictures and I wish I had before pictures, but I can not find them anywhere so you are going to have to let your mind wander. Imagine brown, brown, brown, and some more brown. Not saying brown is a bad color, but when you live in a trailer and all you see is brown wall paper and brown carpet you may go crazy! haha. Because we are expecting another little one we decided to get after this remodel and I am so happy we did. Everything you see that is white ( all cabinets, trim, etc.) used to be a brown darker wood. We tore out a booth table, couch, and all carpet to enjoy our own personal touches. New couch and table was a huge space saver! yay! It took us a little over a week to be absolutely done, but we worked from the time we woke up to the time we decided we should go to bed. If anyone has questions on how we did some things feel free to leave a comment 🙂

Now to the good stuff that we waited WAY to long for. When I say long I mean we waited over a month until my husband was put back on a job. We were on permanent vacation for over a month which was kind of nice especially since I am sick as a dog being pregnant, but to be living in our new trailer is REALLY nice. We traveled 11 hours ( including a blow out tire), and made it to our new town we will call home.. Long Beach, CA. We are very happy with the location, and love that there is a lot to do around this area. If any one has some favorite eats or things to do in Long Beach please share! Enjoy!

Baby #2

We are so excited to announce a new little one joining our family in February. Surprised, but a very good and exciting surprise. I mean what is better than a baby?!? Dekker was a surprise as well, and I think that is just fine. God wouldn’t hand us anything we couldn’t tackle. I think people think we are a little off our rockers being that we are still going to be living in our trailer with not only one kid, but  now two. But we aren’t going to let this alter our plans, and I think it is going to be even better! Bring on the challenges! I also have been getting so many questions about if I prefer a boy or girl. Truthfully, I LOVE being a #boymom so to have another boy would be just perfect, but also I would LOVE dressing up a little girl, so with that said I want whatever I get.  My due date is February 5th, and Dekker and the new one will be two years and three months apart.. so perfect! February come sooner please.

Adventuring

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

We are SO happy to be moving on to our next adventure. We left Lancaster a week ago, because Cody got “laid off”, meaning he is being transferred to a different job. We are so excited to see where we will be next, and we have no idea yet where it will be. That is what is so crazy about this lifestyle, they will call us soon and send us anywhere in California or Nevada :O. In the mean time of waiting we have decided to bring our trailer to our hometown and remodel it. It has been so nice being in the hills surrounded by green everything, water, and family. I can not wait to share pictures of our new and improved trailer so stayed tuned. Happy 4th to you all! XO

Go check out >>Little Foot Clothing Co.<<  for the cutest kids clothing! Dekker’s adorable harem pants are from their and they are so comfy and soft!

Family

In case anyone was wondering we are STILL in Lancaster! haha. Every week it changes.. last week it was Friday that we would be moved.. this week it’s Wednesday. Sometimes I wonder how the heck I live this lifestyle, but if I am going to be honest it’s for my boys: my family. There is nothing sweeter than that little innocent boy yelling, “daddy!!” when Cody walks through the door every night. I swear it puts a smile on my face every single time..Enjoy  a few of our family photos from >>Acres of Hope Photography<<

Books!!

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

Dekker is all about reading books right now, but most importantly he always wants to be the one reading even when it is upside down. I think reading books is one of my favorite mom moments with Dekker. I love seeing him interact with me when I read, and really get into the book while pointing and “ooing” and “ahhing”. So fun to see!! And on the plus they get to learn. I received a box from a company called Bookroo, and let me tell you I think it is the cutest thing ever. First off you get three books delivered to your doorstep monthly, and what kid doesn’t love mail. Every time I get something in the mail you betcha that Dekker is trying to rip open my boxes and see whats inside, so when we received these books he was thrilled that he got mail. I think his favorite part was that each book was individually wrapped and (cute!!) wrapping paper. Such a clever thing to start for kids to explore new books, and learn new things. LOVE this. Also serves as a great gift to send to your favorite little ones.

Skin Secrets

In July of last year I decided to leave my day to day job, and go live in a 32 foot trailer on the road for my husbands job. Because I knew it was not forever it made adventuring out easier for me. As for my job I was a little sad to be leaving what I was recently passionate about, skincare! Working as an esthetician was so FUN, and eventually I am sure I’ll get back into, but for now  family calls! Anyways back to what I am passionate about, skin care! Having a set regimen is very important if you want to keep your skin feeling hydrated, and fresh. I am not sure who wouldn’t want some flawless skin, but hey yeah never know. Before I went to esthetician school I didn’t wear sunscreen regularly, I slept with my makeup on more than not, and I cleansed my face and thats about it. Ahh!! I wish I did not do that to my skin!! I want to share with you guys my DAILY skin care regimen right now for spring. As the seasons change so does your skin, so I am always switching things up. But for now I am using a line call LIRA CLINICAL… kind of like heaven in a bottle!

EVERY day and night!

  1. Cleanse face with PRO Exfoliating Cleanser this is going to help brighten skin and help with anti-aging.
  2. HYDRA C Serum with PSC: refreshing your skin and keeping it hydrated
  3. MYSTIQ perfecting Eye Creme with PSC
  4. MYSTIQ Iluminating beauty oil : By far my favorite game changer for making my face look dewy and hydrated.
  5. BIO Caviar Creme with PSC: Absolute favorite moisturizer!
  6. Solar Shield 30 Oil free with PSC

Each step you can hover over and it will link you to that product, and you can read up on all the wonderful things in these products. Also if you want to order any of these products or others on the LIRA website.. email me at blakereynolds@live.com

As months pass I am just in awe of how big my little baby gets. A year and a half and I just can not believe it. He is such a little boy these days, and I LOVE this stage so much. I mean yes he sure has a little attitude, but hey this stage is SO fun. Each stage definitely has its own perks, but I love hearing him learn new words on the daily. And I mean daily.. This kid is chatty! If you are talking he will make sure he is talking louder than you. haha. As much as this boy is chatty with an attitude he is a love bug. Whats better than a lovey little boy?! He has always been a snuggler and things have not changed, so I am soaking that all in. He is also very much a dare devil.. I guess since his dad climbs towers all day he was bound to have it in him. This kid has no fear, at times it is a little frightening. haha. If there is something to climb up on, you bet that he is up on it. Dekker has a total of sixteen teeth. His word count changes on the daily. He loves every kind of food, and eats about two breakfasts’, a snack, lunch, three snacks before dinner, dinner, occasionally a treat, and milk twice a day if you can fit it in-between all that. haha. He loves helping me around the house, which is such a cool thing to watch, as well as every night helping dad take his boots off. He continues to be obsessed with cats, planes, trucks, cars, tools, dirt, and water! Sounds like a boy I know haha! Total typical boy over here. Everyday this little one reminds me of just why being a mom is so great even in the moments of frustration. Those moments open me up to new obstacles, and make me grow not only as a mom but a person. I love being his mommy. Happy half birthday to the boy that made my life a whole lot brighter.

Nuby Grow with Me Bottle to Cup Review

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

ATTENTION MOM OF TODDLERS! I received this Nuby Grow WIth Me Bottle to Cup and let me just tell you that Dekker loves it. And I promise I am not just saying this. Dekker LOVES the handles, he is such a busy boy so the handles are something he can easily bring around with him. We have several cups for Dekker and he chooses this one over all of them. Not only does Dekker love it, but when you have to hand wash all your dishes a detachable nipple and handle is necessary for cleaning purposes. We all know those bottles can get stinky! ahh. My husbands favorite part is that it doesn’t leak.. huge game changer. It also comes with different nipple tops so it helps to easily transition your little one to a cup, and it works! Living proof over here guys. Anyone in the market to switch there babes over head on to @amazon, @babiesrus, and @tjmaxx

Features of the Grow with me bottle include:

  • BPA Free
  • Detachable handles
  • bright fun colors
  • no spill spout
  • vari flow and non-drip wide neck soft silicone nipple
  • liquid measurements built into the design of the cup

MOMMY MOMENTS

Being a mom really is the best thing, but there are times when I definitely question how I am raising bam bam or tasmanian devil. (joking) Yes my little sweet boy can be quite the character. I wanted to share two mommy moments where I found myself being mad, but also secretly laughing. I am sure these moments could have gotten worse, but thank heavens they did not. About two months ago my husband had just got home and my son some how made it upstairs in to the bathroom. I was talking with my husband showing him something, and we both didn’t think he could get into too much trouble( we are with in feet of the bathroom haha). After about two minutes we heard him yelling for us, and I am thinking, oh he locked himself in the shower, because that is what it sounded like. Oh no! My little one year old was sitting criss cross in the toilet. Now let me just say I am not proud of this… as this is SO gross, but it was hilarious! I yelled to my husband to come here and bring his phone to snap a photo.. I am not sharing the photo, but its pretty hysterical. Covered in toilet paper and toilet water, and have no idea how he managed to get up there. Cant wait to show his future wife… mom scored some blackmail. Now today was a little bit different of a mommy moment, but I am sure it happens to everyone at some point. Two words: nail polish! Ahh! I turned around for a second and Dekker had taken the lid off of my nail polish and was painting the table. As I went to yell at him NOO! He then dropped it on the ground and painted the floor (did I mention it was black)…. I am only laughing at this now because all the nail polish in the house got cleaned, but my child now has colored hands for the day. Hooray for realistic mommy moments, and for Dekker making my life more interesting.
