Holy cow… times flies! So so fast. Five years ago I had already been in the hospital for over 24 hours… waiting… and waiting for my perfect baby boy to arrive finally at 4:29 pm he was here. My scared 21 year old self had no idea what the heck I was in store for. I was the first of my friends to have a kid, first grand baby on my side, and was so scared but so excited. Instantly he changed my world, but everyday since then he has changed and taught me SO much since that day.
Every year I am shocked that another year has gone by, but this year has been something special. Five seems so old to me! I’ve watched him overcome fears that he has been afraid of… and he really does work hard to try and make sure he achieves the things he wants(with some fits in the mix). I swear he is always striving and trying to accomplish things he loves. He learned how to ride his bike without training wheels, played and finished his first tball team and soccer team. Started big boy school which I think is why this year is something special to me, because before this year he was home with me 24-7. He is always a friend to everyone, and has built such a incredible relationship with his brother. He is always concerned and making sure his brother is happy and no one messes with him. He is a sensitive, loving, and smart little boy and I am so grateful god chose me to be your mama.
He loves transformers, nerf guns, and anything camo. He is a people lover and wants to always be around the people he loves.
This morning on his fifth birthday he said “He feels stronger today as a five year old!” As he got out for school he said, “ here comes the birthday boy!” No lack of self confidence in that one haha.

Happy Friday!! We are officially into our fall break over here.. Dekker has no school all next week and I am definitely going to soak it all in having both boys at home. Bring on Halloween prep and fall activities.

Happy Friday guys! I hope everyone had a good week. I can not wait to not have somewhere to rush to in the morning… thank goodness. We have soccer in the afternoon and other than that have a low key weekend.
