Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday guys!! So happy the weekend is here, although the weather has been crazy so the hubby might be working storm calls but we will see. We had a great week with a big change for the boys.. bunk beds! Never thought I would go the bunkbed route, but I am so glad we did. Kanon is now in a big boy bed, so we are going through that transition. The transition hasn’t been horrible but not great either haha. My mom is going into the city this weekend, so the boys and I are planning to go see her and my aunt today or Saturday which will be something fun to do. She lives 3 hours from us so the city is a lot closer to where we live. Do you guys like cities? I am totally not a city person, but every now and then I think they are fun to go to. Other than that we are suppose to have a rain free weekend so the boys are going to be so happy we can get out and ride their scooters. Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! xo

Friday Favorites!!

Happy Friday friends!! We have had a ton of rainy days around here lately, and it looks like we are getting a little sunshine tomorrow so I am happy about that. Hopefully going to be able to get outside a little bit this weekend. Another huge goal this weekend is to organize my pantry. Stay tuned because If all goes well I will be sharing next week a before and after. Here are some sales I rounded up of things I have been loving.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Beating the January Gloom

January can be an odd month with the gloomy weather and the after holiday “hangover”. Anyone else deal with this?! I was definitely feeling a little bleh after New Years, so I am sharing some ways to get motivated for the new years, and get out of the January gloom funk.

Move Anytime I am feeling unmotivated exercise always gets me going. Go for a walk, go to the gym, or do a work out in your home if its raining outside. Getting you body moving is going to make you feel more accomplished and ready to take on more things you have been wanting to do.

Self love One thing that always makes me feel better is truly doing something for myself. What is something small that makes you feel better? Take a bath, read a book, write, get your nails done, or grab a  coffee. Making time in the morning to get ready even if that means letting your kids watch tv while you put yourself together.. do it! Making time to do something a little extra for yourself is going to make you feel good.

Organize If you are anything like me my brain cant function with messy around me. It is hard for me to sit down with clutter around me. Organizing and cleaning is therapeutic to me, I know there are some of you out there that are the same. I want my space to be stress free always, but don’t get me wrong my house is not always clean but it makes me feel SO much better when it is. Pick a organizing task like your pantry, fridge, or closet. Throw away old food, give away clothes you don’t wear, and buy cheap organizers that will make going into these spaces better.

Make a List This goes on with organization, but I am a huge list person. Almost daily a make a list on the back of an envelope or oil piece of mail and jot everything down I want to try and get done. It is so rewarding crossing things off your list even if it is the simplest task

Podcast Something that I love to do is listen to podcast. There are SO many great ones. Motivational ones, funny light hearted, you name it and there is a podcast. If you aren’t a reader this is a great one to get your mind out of a funk. You can do this while you take a bath, organize, or even driving to work to start your day off right.

Take care of yourselves friends!

Friday Favorites!

First Friday favorites of the new year! I am going to try to stick with sales on these because that is what everyone seems to like. I hope you all have a great weekend. It is our first weekend back from the holidays and before Dekker heads back to school this next week, so we don’t have much plans. Excited to hang out at home and maybe venture to the beach. xo

New Year!

Happy 2019!!

I am a total lover of New Years. I love that there is a day to reflect on the past year, and look forward to the things to come in the new year ahead. I am not one to set resolutions, but I definitely jot down the many things I would like to fulfill and work on.

In 2018, Kanon had his first birthday, and Dekker celebrated his fourth birthday. We adventured all over northern CA; Santa Cruz, Tahoe,  and San Francisco. We explored our new towns we moved too; We moved FIVE times this year. We lived in Vacaville twice, San Jose, Grass Valley, and now currently Santa Rosa. Our biggest adventure was after three whole years of living in our fifth wheel we moved out of it into an apartment. Definitely our best decision yet, but it was nerve racking since we move so often.

In 2019 we have a lot of BIG things going to happen. My husband has been going through an apprenticeship for his job which is why we have been traveling all over without a clue when and where they send us. In three short months he is DONE! We no longer will be told when and where to move, my husband won’t have classes every month in LA, no more school work, and all his hard work will pay off. This is such a relief for our family. This lifestyle has been no freaking joke, and it has been hard on us all. That is going to be our main thing going on this next year which is a huge life change for us. We have an idea of where we want to head to after, but still up in the air at this point so stay tuned.

Also looking forward to the next year with you guys!! I cant wait to continue my blog and my instagram and connect with each of you! I love this space, and I love each of you for being here.

Trunk club!

TRY TRUNK CLUB HERE!!

So excited to be doing another trunk club with you guys. Honestly, my stylist knocked it out of the park with this one. I’m obsessing over every piece she picked for me! So many cute sweaters for the cold weather, and cute casual outfits for the holidays.

Whats trunk club?! Trunk Club is a subscription box sent right to your door of 10 items picked out by a personal stylist. Trunk Club is a Nordstrom brand, so you can find everything there. No obligations when you receive a box… you can send everything back, keep one thing, or keep it all. If you have a Nordy Card then it’s free to try, if not the styling fee is $25 but can be used towards an item you buy.
