Going from my favorite season to the next best. I love fall mainly because of the fashion that comes with it. I love a good cozy sweater and some denim. I bought this lace cami last fall, LOVE it as a transition piece. It is perfect for layering under a cute cardigan. I also bought a few more this season as well. You can dress them up with a leather jacket, or wear more casual with a cardigan and sneakers. I rounded up a few favorites I found, and most of them come in multiple colors so click on them and check that out! xo
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale try on!
I braved the Nordstrom Anniversary sale today. Things are flying off the shelfs and I tried on what I could. I didn’t even make it to try on any shoes, but I am sitting here going through the ones I did check out. There are lots of good items on sale right now, and I will be sharing a lot more. Here is some of my favorite in store items. The first photo is a pj set that was my best seller at the sale last year.. they are SO good and come in long sleeve and pants as well. ENJOY shopping!
My top seller last year at the sale and they are 100% worth every penny. They come in 3 colors.
Athletic wear had lots of good items. Such a great price point for really nice leggings. Loved this green jacket as well.
Okay this lounge set was so good and I am wishing I would have brought it come with me because the second I got home I put on sweats haha. SO comfy, and honestly I would wear this out running errands or school drop off when it gets cooler.
This leopard cardigan is a hot ticket item, and luckily I found a random one in the wrong spot and took it home with me. I had about five people ask me where I found it when I was walking around.
If you have been wanting anything barefoot dreams now is the time. These are so soft I cant take it.
Loved this made well sweater and the fun colors. This came home with me and I cant wait to wear it in the fall.
Free people basic thermal they come out with every year. Comes in multiple colors.
So many great cardigans I wanted to buy them all. This lace tank is a repeat from last year and I have it in black and I am checking the site every five minutes for the white haha.
Obsessed with the sherpa pull over this year. Love the black trim against the cream. The pullover similar to this was my second most bought item last year… such a great item.
Love this very loose cardigan. I sized down and took this home with me.. love the color.
The cutest corduroy skirt and plain top. love this outfit.
All about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
My favorite sale of all time is almost here! A few weeks away and I am already scouting out the catalog and getting ready to shop it. You all know I love a great sale, and I also LOVE Nordstrom.
WHEN IS IT?
sale starts July 12-18th for early access card holders! There is still time to become a cardholder.
July 19th the sale opens to public, and prices will go to normal prices August 5th.
WHY I LOVE IT?
I love this sale because these are new items that are on sale, that will be making a restock come fall. When they are restocked after sale then they are normal prices. All these styles are going to be on trend in the future so why not buy stuff on sale while you can.
HOW TO SHOP?
This sale is online and in store, and every year I do a little of both. I will be covering this sale quit a bit because this a great time to get high quality fashion forward items. You will be able to buy directly from my links on my blog or through the liketoknow it app. I will be showing my favs in different categories plus doing a try on in store like last year, but remember I am a card member so if you are not you won’t be able to shop the sale until it goes public.
WHAT DO I LIKE TO GET?
I think every year the shoes are the best bang for your buck. You can get higher priced boots , tennis shoes, etc. on sale. They also have so many great basics every year, I can not wait to share what I find.

Easy homemade Valentines
Hey guys! Next week is Valentines day so I wanted to share what we made for Dekker’s class. The boys had SO much fun making these and even my husband got involved in the process. Also, if you just want a fun valentines craft to do these are it.
STEP ONE: Soak crayons in warm water for 10 minutes. This makes it easy to peel the wrapper off each crayon. Then unwrap each crayon you want to use. ( we used three boxes, but only used colors we wanted)
STEP TWO: (Preheat oven to 220 degrees) Let your kids go wild and break the crayons into small pieces and place in heart mold. Make sure you fill them up to the top because they will melt. Let your little ones be creative with this part.
STEP THREE: Put mold on cookie tray, and bake for 10-15 minutes. My boys loved watching this process of the crayons melt and mix together.
STEP FOUR: Pull crayons out to cool and you are DONE!
We put them in mini treat bags for Dekker’s class, and made little tags( linked below). Such a fun and easy DIY Valentines that doesn’t include all the holiday candy. On your cards you can write anything you want, but a favorite is: Have a colorful day, or color your heart out!!
XOXO
Many to go!
Over a year of marriage has passed and I think I really want to keep him. haha. But really I feel this overwhelming feeling of love everyday, and it is so special. Not saying marriage is perfect, but I love that marriage gives you the opportunity to grow as a couple. After we got married we really got to start our lives together as a whole. It became important realizing that even though we saw each other every day those little things matter. Those simple acts of love that we both need and differ in. Take this day to really make your significant other feel special, because they deserve it!!
We did a fun shoot when we were in our home town with Lydia Photography, in Grass Valley, CA, at my in-laws property. I love that getting your picture taken allows you to really connect, and then you get these beautiful natural images out of them. We did this right after our one year anniversary at the same location we got married at, so it made it extra special for the two of us.
