Easy homemade Valentines

Hey guys! Next week is Valentines day so I wanted to share what we made for Dekker’s class. The boys had SO much fun making these and even my husband got involved in the process. Also, if you just want a fun valentines craft to do these are it.

STEP ONE: Soak crayons in warm water for 10 minutes. This makes it easy to peel the wrapper off each crayon. Then unwrap each crayon you want to use. ( we used three boxes, but only used colors we wanted)

STEP TWO: (Preheat oven to 220 degrees) Let your kids go wild and break the crayons into small pieces and place in heart mold. Make sure you fill them up to the top because they will melt. Let your little ones be creative with this part.

STEP THREE: Put mold on cookie tray, and bake for 10-15 minutes. My boys loved watching this process of the crayons melt and mix together.

STEP FOUR: Pull crayons out to cool and you are DONE!

We put them in mini treat bags for Dekker’s class, and made little tags( linked below). Such a fun and easy DIY Valentines that doesn’t include all the holiday candy. On your cards you can write anything you want, but a favorite is: Have a colorful day, or color your heart out!!

XOXO
